Schaerer Medical (“the company”) today announced that Mr. Theodor Grob will step down as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 23, 2023, and Mr. Urs Brunner has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Brunner previously held the role of President of Schaerer Medical USA. He began his tenure in the company in April 2022 and quickly transformed the organization towards a global growth mindset. Prior to joining Schaerer Medical USA, Mr. Brunner held the role of VP & General Manager at Black Forest Medical North America where he led the organization to double digit growth and transformed the team into a high performing, collaborative, and innovative organization. Prior experiences included senior executive roles with Medtronic Inc for 17 years in Europe/Middle East and Africa, and then in Latin America, where he led major business projects and acquisition activities. Additionally, Urs holds executive coaching certifications from the International Coaching Federation and the Coaches Training Institute, and he is an active mentor with SCORE, an organization that mentors new entrepreneurs across the United States.
